August 2019 AVM Newsletter

Dear All,

There are a few places in today’s world where it would be prudent to have armed guards at your baptismal services.  The small village of Chignik, on the Alaska Peninsula, is one of those places.  Our VBS team conducted a baptismal there last month under the watchful eyes of three armed men from the village.  You can read all about that in the attached prayer letter.

Also, if you are able, we would love for you to stop by and see the dormitory renovation project before the students move in at the end of this month.  We are so happy with the results, and thankful for the help of alumni Dan and Elsie Gingerich who have spent all summer here helping to keep the volunteer work teams moving forward.

Would love to hear from you,

Randy

P.S.  There is an Alaska Bible Institute Facebook page where you can see some great pictures of the dorm project.
